SAY NO TO ALVERDISCOTT SOLAR
& BATTERY CLUSTER

A mega-solar and battery site is being created in North Devon. 433 acres of solar panels and battery containers have already been consented, or already built. Another 279 acres of solar and 12 acres of battery containers are now being applied for. In an area of only 11 square miles.

It's time to call a halt

This mega-solar and battery site is being created by stealth. One application follows another, and another, and another.

Just because the developers and their investors want a site close to the National Grid connection point at Alverdiscott. Bulworthy Farm solar farm and battery storage system is being considered by the North Devon and Torridge District Councils. Bideford BESS (another huge battery energy storage system proposed at West Webbery Farm) is being considered by Torridge District Council.

How many more developers will want a slice of this small corner of Devon? How much more of our world-class livestock-rearing farmland will go? It’s time to call a halt: and only public pressure on the Councils, our MPs and the Government can achieve that.

“I object to hundreds of acres of Devon’s world-class farmland around Alverdiscott being covered with solar panels and battery containers. The Bulworthy Farm and West Webbery Farm applications should be refused.”

Together we’ll save Devon’s countryside
